As an Independent Consultant and Medical Director for the WINCHESTER ADDICTION SERVICES, PLC, Dr Diwan delivered state of the art medical management to patients suffering from opioid use disorder. Developed addiction medicine practice among opioid dependent patients in the outpatient setting by instituting evidence based protocols and standards of care as well as introducing substance abuse evaluation and counseling as part of Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioids Use Disorder and other longstanding addictions. Work with licensed substance abuse mental health professional who evaluated for comorbid psychiatric disorders which may have led or contributed to substance abuse.
Dr. Diwan is a partner at the PIEDMONT FAMILY PRACTICE, PLC in Warrenton, VA. Dr. Diwan built successful practice over a 2 year period by providing longitudinal care in both the In-patient and Out-patient settings. Delivered services in the Newborn Nursery, ICU, Nursing Home and Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Diwan developed Pain Management Practice offering Interventional Treatments and Medical Management. Dr. Diwan established specialty Opiate Dependency/Addiction Medicine Practice.
